GENERAL HEALTH check

Your general health check takes about 1 hour. On this page you will find information on how to prepare.

HOW TO PREPARE

The day before

You do not need to fast before your appointment. It is important you eat a light meal in the hours before your test.

12 hours before

  • Do not have an extensive meal just before your test.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Avoid laying in the sun for a long period of time.

24 hours before

  • Avoid intense physical activity.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol.
  • Do not have excessive coffee, tea, cola, etc.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

Your package includes the following features:

Introductory conversation

  • To give you an overview of the program and clarify any questions you have.

Physical measurements

  • To assess your fat mass, muscle mass, body-fat percentage and other related measurements such as your height and weight.

Lung check

  • A check on your airways shows how well your lungs are working and whether you are susceptible to asthma or breathing issues.

Blood check

  • A rapid finger prick test gives vital performance data measuring your levels of cholesterol, hemoglobin, and more.

Heart check

  • A check on your heart condition with an electrocardiogram (ECG) in rest situation.

Results report

  • Our team will explain how to view your data.

Oxygen test (VO2 max)

Your test includes:

  • Electrocardiogram screening to confirm you are suitable for the test.
  • Test of your cardiopulmonary fitness using an electric bicycle with increasing resistance. A mask wired with a sensor measures the air you inhale and exhale while on the (professional) exercise bicycle ergometer.
  • Indicators checked include maximum oxygen consumption during exercise, (an)aerobic thresholds, heart and lung performance and your maximum fat burn zone.

Wrap up

  • Explanation of what happens next and answers to any questions you have.

Optional!

  • Get changed in the changing room and use the shower facilities (if desired).

Please bring a valid identification document to your appointment so we can identify you.
